We landed in Paris around 8:30 am and headed for our apartment.  We rented a furnished apartment for the week on Rue Saint Honore (does anyone know how to type letters with accents).  After getting all the info from the landlord, we were all exhausted and took a 4 hour nap.  Then we walked to the nearest Monoprix, got some snacks and drinks for the week, as well as breakfast food.  Got back, changed and went out to eat at Oscar Restaurant on Rue des Pyramides at the end of the Saint Honore pathway.  Fantastic dinner there!  We went for a little walk after dinner, the sun was setting as we walked toward the Jardin des Tuileries which was behind our apartment building.  When we got to the Jardin it was closed for the evening but we could see the Eiffel Tower and it was lit up with fantastic glittering lights which were impossible to get a photo of!

May 12 & 13, 2011

I'm backtracking now to catch up on posts from when I was in Paris.  I did have internet access but I forgot my USB cable for my camera and couldn't upload pictures.

On the 12th I sewed all morning then went shopping in the afternoon.  My skinny nice jeans split in the crotch and my comfy flats developed a hole in them the week before I leave for Paris so I had to go buy replacements. Then I packed up my suitcase for the trip.

On the 13th I had half a day in Atlanta before I had to be at the airport and I spent it running around frantically getting errands done before I left.

2 days until Paris!
59 days until I get married to my best friend!

Today I've started and finished 2 garments, sewed a 3rd until I realized that I don't have the right zipper for it  (and neither does the fabric store) and cut out a 4th garment.

I'm about to go get my hair cut so that I can have a fabulous fresh cut for Paris!  *Photo later*

Yesterday I went shopping with a friend and found some good walking around shoes for Paris.  Then I almost finished a quilt!

Today I finished the quilt, tried on my wedding dress for the first time.  It FITS!  And hung out with my friends.

Tomorrow, lots of sewing and a haircut :)

Busy weekend!  Yesterday Lee and I drove up to Pigeon Forge with friends to Zorb.  If you don't know what that is youtube it...NOW!  It was the most fun thing I have ever done in my life and I'll definitely be back, I don't think I've ever laughed so hard and smiled so much in my life! The picture above is of Lee and I after we zorbed, we're soaked in case you can't tell.  I forgot my swimsuit so I had to buy clothes there and the smallest size they had was men's medium so I'm soaked and also drowning in clothes.

Today we graduated, super long ceremony...glad to be finished with the Georgia Institute of Technology.  I'm too tired to upload the pictures but I will soon.

One week until I'm in Paris!

Today Lee and I went to Zoo Atlanta!  

Giant Panda, going inside to hide because there were like 5,000 screaming kids there on a field trip.

The red panda, which was surprisingly active, despite the presence of the school children.

River Otters!  These guys were so cute, there are five of them and they all swim huddled together and make little whimpers at each other and the spectators, so adorable!

Free at last, free at last!  Finished my last final and in 6-8 weeks I will have a diploma for my B.S. in Biology from Georgia Institute of Technology hanging on the wall in my new apartment!

Between my morning final and my afternoon final I took a nice nap on a bench on campus and when I woke up I realized that had I taken a nap on a bench anywhere else someone probably would have called the police on me.
